Terminology
Our business requires us to use various terms and concepts. Please review our terminology list to ensure consistency and clarity when addressing an external audience. You will also find a clarification of our solutions' names. We will build out this list gradually.
Say this, not that
When addressing an external audience, please use the following terms:
- We say solutions, not products, services, or modules. In Swedish, the equivalent term is lösningar.
- We say platform, not system. In Swedish, the equivalent term is plattform.
- We say value-added services, not outsourced services or consulting, when speaking about our Financial Crime Surveillance offering.
- Avoid abbreviations, except for commonly known ones, such as AML, KYC, and AI. However, remember to clarify what they stand for at the beginning of the text.
Instantwatch
- Instantwatch is always spelt with lowercase 'w'.
- Instantwatch is not used as part of our solutions' names - it is the technical platform that our products live on.
Solutions naming
- Instantwatch is removed from our solutions' names.
- Trapets will often precede the solution name for clarity, but it's not mandatory.
- In a transition period, you can write the previous solution name in parentheses, for example, 'Trapets Customer Due Diligence (Instantwatch CDD) has a new release'.
- Our solutions' naming is based on customer needs and market understanding:
- Trapets Customer Due Diligence (not Instantwatch CDD or IW CDD)
- Trapets Transaction Monitoring (not Instantwatch AML or IW AML)
- Trapets Screening (not Instantwatch KYC Screening or IW KYC)
- Trapets Market and Trade Surveillance (not Instantwatch Market or IW Market)
- Trapets KYC (not Regtech KYC)
- Trapets Financial Crime Surveillance (not FCS, unless specified at the beginning of the text)
