Visual identity

Imagery

Similar to colours, the imagery creates an emotional connection with the audience and enhances the memorability of our brand. Consistent and impactful images reflect the Trapets' personality, making our brand recognisable and engaging.

Trapets imagery

Trapets imagery bank consists of photography of our colleagues and stock pictures. When creating documents, we encourage you to use our own photographs, as they create authenticity and represent Trapets' brand best.

Style of photography for stock pictures

When selecting stock photography, use these tags as a guide.

Authenticity

Our photos should be seen as “in the moment” and not too orchestrated.

Diversity

We want everyone to feel comfortable and identify with Trapets. That is why we promote the use of imagery featuring a wide variety of people, for example, people of colour, people with disabilities, and other minorities – internally and externally.

Colours and lighting

Taking inspiration from our secondary colours, the photos should have a soft and natural tone. Capture the images using natural light.

Don'ts

When searching for stock photography, avoid these types of photos.

  1. Avoid “techy” images with poor graphics.
  2. Avoid photos where people exaggerate their expressions.
  3. Avoid black-and-white photography.
  4. Avoid posed and overly staged situations
  5. Avoid random fake charts, etc.
  6. Avoid images with filters already applied. This could, for instance, be unnatural colour tones, muted shadows, or overly saturated colours.

Enhancing photos

When we use photography, we want them to match the Trapets' colour palette. Additionally, using the light effect of cloud iridescence* adds a unique touch to the image style.

Light effect

Use one of the pre-made gradient overlays to enhance the photo subtly. To make these overlays blend in more, use the ‘Difference’ blend mode.

Put the overlay in one of the corners so that they only affect the photograph in a subtle way.

Image size

When you add images to your documents or presentations, using the folder containing compressed-size photos is important. Compressed images are smaller, so your final document will upload faster without taking too much time.

However, if you find that the compressed images have a low resolution, making them pixelated or fuzzy, you should choose the images with the original size. Remember that these images are larger and can cause your document to take longer to upload.

Fifth element

A graphic element derived from our logotype rendered in high-resolution 3D can be used as a backdrop to accompany our communication in different ways. The shapes can be scaled and rotated to create variations in the output.
